Our commitment to sustainability

Pink Flowers

At Usk Valley Roses, we are committed to sustainable and environmentally friendly practices in every aspect of our business. Our mission is to provide our customers with beautiful, high-quality rose plants and cut flowers while minimising our ecological footprint and promoting biodiversity.

  • Peat-Free Growing: We are dedicated to using 100% peat-free compost

  • Water Conservation: Water is a precious resource even for us in wet and windy Wales. We harvest rainwater to use for watering our roses and plants.

  • Recycling and Waste Reduction: We are committed to reducing waste through recycling and composting. Our packaging materials are made from recycled or biodegradable materials, and we encourage our customers to recycle or reuse them.

We donate our rose prunings to the Bristol Zoo Project

Who would have thought that Giraffes go crazy for rose prunings?  Well we didn't until we had a phone call from Bristol Zoo Project asking us for rose prunings.  We were delighted to help out and now make regular deliveries of rose prunings for the Giraffes and other animals to enjoy.
